"Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things and the God of peace will be with you” (Philippians 4:8) Sometimes we fill our minds so much with worries, opinions of others or the expectations of this world. Today we are reminded to think about whatever is lovely and honourable and to keep our eyes focused on God rather than the worlds short-lived distractions. Seek out the admirable things in life and act in a noble way to set an example and make a difference in this world!

Maybe you're having a very busy day or maybe you're not up to much. Whatever today brings, remember to be joyful in what God has given to you- there is always something to be joyful about! Remember that joy is sometimes a hard thing to display when it's not your day but in God's strength we can learn to display a joyful character, full of His grace.
So often it's so easy to go through life looking back, either at our failures or success. We look back and define ourselves in terms of what we have already done and consider our future to simply look the same. However it takes real will-power to put your heart in first gear and start living life looking forward to the opportunities and adventures God has for you rather than focusing on what has already been. God does not want us to be caught up on what has already happened for He has forgiven us if we truely trust and love Him. I am being reminded today that prayer should be our first priority in any situation but especially in those moments which test us and help us to grow more in Christ. In difficult situations we can be so quick to ask God why instead of praying with an open heart and asking God to reveal what He wants us to learn through this situation or difficulty. We are so priveledged to be able to talk to our heavenly Father anytime and anywhere. He yearns for us to talk to Him and tell Him what is troubling us. Today let's think about establishing ourselves with a prayerful foundation before going out into our busy day.
